Bill Gee has over thirty years of
experience in the minerals business, with a strong background in business and corporate
development, acquisitions, financial and technical evaluations, and strategic
development and investment. Within the current atmosphere of the junior market,
his broad experience in business development and strategic planning will be
invaluable assets for Evolving Gold going forward. Mr. Gee trained as a
geologist, completing his graduate studies with an MS in Geology at the
Colorado School of Mines, in Golden, Colorado. He has held positions in
corporate development, business development, acquisitions and exploration
within both major mining and junior exploration companies, such as Anaconda
Copper, Newmont Mining, North Mining and Fronteer Development Group.
Over his 21 plus year career, Steve has held senior level
exploration positions with Newmont, Placer Dome and Miranda Gold, exploring for
gold on the Carlin and Cortez Trends of northern Nevada. During this time
he participated in gold discoveries at West Leeville, Four Corners, Hardie
Footwall Extension and Cortez Hills. He has a keen eye for recognizing
geologic patterns, synthesizing exploration data, and a willingness to
incorporate oil exploration techniques into the search for sediment-hosted
gold. Earlier in his career, Steve was directly responsible for
discovering a rare-metal pegmatite district in northern Wisconsin. Steve
earned a Bachelor of Science degree in geology from the University of
Wisconsin-River Falls, he is an AIPG Certified Professional Geologist, and
currently he oversees the technical aspects of Evolving Gold’s exploration
projects.
Prior to joining Evolving Gold
as a Senior Geologist working at Rattlesnake Hills, Wyoming, Mr. Eckberg worked
for Newcrest Resources in project assessment and project geologist capacities
and for Freeport McMoran’s Henderson Molybdenum mine as an exploration
geologist. Eric also spent over 5 years in the US Army as an officer (2nd
Lieutenant, 1st Lieutenant, Captain), including deployments to Kosovo and
Iraq. Mr. Eckberg holds a Bachelor of Earth Science from Dartmouth
College and an MS in Geology at the Colorado School of Mines, in Golden,
Colorado.
